017 UpicU: Upic 10th/Brian Gallagher
Spring 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the formation of Upic Solutions as a stand-alone 501 c 3 non-profit technology organization owned and managed by United Ways. Over the next several podcast episodes, we will be interviewing some of the founding members of the original organization.
In today’s episode, we will interview Brian Gallagher, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide (UWW). During Upic’s formative days, Brian was the CEO of the United Way of Central Ohio in Columbus. During 1999, the United Ways in Columbus and Cincinnati co-sponsored a feasibility study to explore the potential benefits of sharing technology resources. The end product of that study became the stand-alone non-profit organization known as Upic Solutions today.
