019 Upic U: Upic’s 10th / Betsy Lowder
Spring 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the formation of Upic Solutions as a stand-alone 501 c 3 non-profit technology organization owned and managed by United Ways. Over the next several podcast episodes, we will be interviewing some of the founding members of the original organization.
In today’s episode, we will interview Betsy Lowder, CFO of the United Way of Greater High Point (NC). During Upic’s formative days, Betsy was instrumental as a member of the original Operations Council –a group of finance and operations professionals which helped develop strategies/tactics around the services Upic would offer to the founding members and eventually other United Ways. High Point (Metro 2) is the smallest Upic founding community, but has the same voting strength as any of the larger Upic founding members.
- Betsy’s initial involvement as a founding Upic member
- High Point as pilot for new Upic services
- Thank you program and improved pledge collections
