    Winston Faircloth, President

    Prior to joining Upic, Winston held executive/leadership positions with the United Ways in Louisville (KY), Hampton-Newport News (VA) and Lexington (KY) over his United Way career starting in 1982. He holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in government and philosophy from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Upic pioneered the concept of Virtual Office following a presentation at the United Way Finance Roundtable in 2004, when Winston nearly lost his PowerPoint to a corrupted PC hard drive. Fortunately, he was able to recover the presentation but vowed never to be in that position again. Winston resides in the Cincinnati area with his wife Susie and their two four legged “children”, Darby and Shelby.

     

    David Poe, Chief Technical Officer

    David began his technical career in 1990 as a computer consultant in Beavercreek, OH helping small businesses plan and implement technology projects. In 1997, he began programming for The Sant Corporation in Norwood, Ohio and was quickly promoted to Lead Developer responsible for leading a team to create an automated RFP response system. In 1999, he joined Medplus in Mason, Ohio as a programmer responsible for an enterprise electronic medical records system and in 2001, he was promoted to Sr. Systems Analyst where he managed the data center build out for the world's largest online laboratory results system. He was promoted to Sr. Technical Project Manager and lead numerous projects to update and maintain the technical facilities. Poe joined the Upic Solutions team in July of 2007 where he lead the effort to enhance Upic's technology and IT services. David currently resides in Mason, Ohio with his wife, Julia, and daughter, Katherine.

     

    Jim Mead, Chief Information Officer

    Jim’s United way career began in 1977 as a programmer for the United Way in Seattle, WA. In 1981, he was promoted to MIS Director and provided leadership to a number of system-wide technology initiatives. He joined the Cincinnati organization in 1990, spearheading the development of the FMS campaign management platform along with several other leading United Ways. Under his direction, the Community Building Database product was developed and eventually was adopted by 22 United Ways across the country. Mead was named CIO of Upic Solutions in May 2004. Jim currently resides in Austin, TX with his wife Denise.  They have two adult children, who also live in Austin.
